The topic of the Pearl Harbor attack has always interested me. Harout's and Michael's presentation was one of my favorites throughout the whole week. It was very interesting because of the speech they chose, Franklin Roosevelt's Pearl Harbor Speech to the Nation. After watching the video of his speech, I got more interested in the topic. FDR, my favorite president has done so much for the country, and helped calm the country, by giving his famous speech about the sudden attack.
Because this speech was a very sensitive topic to some people, FDR needed to address the nation in a very calm voice. He was not scared or stressed during his speech. This may have helped to calm to nation down from the sudden attack. FDR's unforgettable speech helped many Americans, especially those who lost loved ones from the attack. I was very affected by the speech, because of the tragedy and the stress the nation went through, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt's encouraging and patriotic speech.
